"CCH Axcess has stopped working" while working in CCH Axcess™ Tax, accompanied by an error referencing ltc_game32-######.dll.
The resolution in this article applies to when this issue is related to a Plays.TV DLL on your workstation. To determine if this article applies to you, verify the following:
- Open Event Viewer.
- Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
- Enter eventvwr and press Enter.
- Expand Windows Logs.
- Select Application.
- Locate and select the error listed around the time that the crash occurred.
- Verify the information below.
- Faulting application name: CCH.CommonUIFramework.Shell.exe
- Faulting module name: ltc_game32-116096.dll
- Faulting module path: C:\PROGRA~2\RAPTRI~1\PlaysTV\ltc_game32-116096.dl.
- If this is the information shown in the Event Viewer log, then the resolution below applies.
- Verify the information below.
Resolution
- Currently the only resolution is to uninstall the Plays.TV software.
