How do I transfer/migrate a tax return from CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax to CCH Axcess™ Tax?
Prerequisites
- You must have the functional right to add clients when creating returns.
- You will need to have a .uYT file/return file from ProSystem fx® Tax.
- Y = the tax year and T= the tax product
- Where are the return files stored in CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax?
Steps to transfer a return from CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax to CCH Axcess™ Tax
- Open Return Manager.
- Select Utilities on the toolbar.
- Select Transfer to Axcess from the dropdown menu.
- On the Transfer to Axcess window, browse to and select the .uYT file that was created by ProSystem fx® Tax.
- Select the appropriate return group, if needed, then select OK.
- Note: You can change the client ID during this step if needed.
- If the client exists in Axcess already then the process will complete. If the client does not exist, you will need to select the options on the Add Client window and click OK
Note: If the return is not available in Axcess Tax after doing the above steps, you will need to rebuild the return in ProSystem fx Tax. Once the return is rebuilt in ProSystem fx Tax, complete steps 1-4 again.
Notes:
- You can only process in one return at a time into Axcess.
- The new return displays in the Return Manager grid with the Migrated Return description.
- The return version is the next available number.
