How do I unlock or change my Single Sign On (SSO) password for CCH® ProSystem fx® applications?

This article explains how to unlock or change your password for Electronic Filing, Software Delivery Manager, downloading permission keys, or any other program or process that uses SSO authentication for CCH® ProSystem fx® Suite applications.

  • Unlock and Reset Your Own Password. Use these instructions if you have forgotten your password or your user ID has become locked.
  • Change Your Password. Your password will expire and need to be changed every 90 days. Use these instructions to proactively change your password at any time before it expires.


Unlock and Reset Your Own Password

If you attempt to log in five consecutive times with an incorrect password, your user ID will become locked. Follow these steps to both unlock and reset the password for your user ID.

  1. Open Microsoft® Edge or Google® Chrome™ and go to https://admin.prosystemfx.com.
  2. Click Forgot your Password.
  3. On the Forgot Password window, enter the following:
    • In the User ID box, enter your user ID.
    • In the Security Question list, click the drop-down to select the appropriate question.
    • In the Answer box, enter the answer to your security question.
  4. Click Submit. You will be sent an email with a temporary password.
  5. After receiving the email, open Microsoft® Edge or Google® Chrome™ and go to https://admin.prosystemfx.com.
  6. On the Login window, enter the following:
    • In the User ID box, enter your user ID.
    • In the Password box, enter the temporary password received via email.
    • In the challenge-response test field, enter the text as displayed.​​
  7. Click Login.
  8. On the Change Password window, enter the following:
    • In New Password and Verify Password, enter your new password.
      • The new password must be a minimum of eight (8) characters, contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, a number, and a special character (~!@#$%^&*).
  9. Click Submit. You will receive a message stating that your password has been changed. Click OK.
  10. Update your security questions if needed and click Submit.


Change Your Password

  1. Open Microsoft®  Edge or Google® Chrome™ and go to https://admin.prosystemfx.com .
  2. Click Change your password.
  3. In the User ID box, enter your user ID.
  4. In the Password box, enter your current password.
  5. In the New Password and Verify Password boxes, enter your new password.
  • The new password must be a minimum of eight (8) characters, contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, a number, and a special character (~!@#$%^&*).
  1. Click Submit. You will receive a message stating that your password has been changed. Click OK.
  2. Update your security questions if needed and click Submit.

Note: If unable to resolve the issue with the steps above, CCH can send a password reset email for the default administrator. CCH can only unlock the default administrator.
For CCH to assist and to meet security purposes, please send an email to CCHSystemSupport@wolterskluwer.com that meets the following.
  • Contains:
    • Firm account number.
    • Explicitly requests in the email body, "Please provide a temporary password to login to Single Sign On (SSO) password for ProSystem fx applications."
  • Email originates from:
    • A partner or owner of the firm.
    • Email domain is unique to the firm or the email address that the request comes from matches the default admin user on file with us.
