How do I change the saved data location in CCH® IntelliForms®?

There are two places where you can change the Saved Data Path in IntelliForms. If you change the path in one location, the path is changed permanently, or until you manually change it again. The other location changes the path only for the current session.

The video below provides the default location used for saved data, as well as steps for changing the path. Text instructions are also provided below for your convenience.

To change the Saved Data Path permanently (until you manually change it again), do the following:

  1. Click the Blank Forms tab.
  2. Click the Preferences icon in the tool bar.
  3. Click the Forms tab on the left.
  4. Click Browse.
  5. In the Browse For Folder window, select the folder to use. You can create a new folder if needed.
  6. Click OK. The Saved Data Path is now changed.

To change the Saved Data Path for the current session only, do the following:

  1. Start in one of the following locations:
    • Open client form
    • Client Forms tab
    • Profiles tab
  2. If you are in an open client form or on the Client Forms tab, click the Clients > Change Data Location. If you are on the Profiles tab, click the Profiles > Change Data Location.
  3. In the Browse For Folder window, select the folder you want. You can create a new folder if needed.
  4. Click OK. The Saved Data Path is now changed.

Note: You can also make a temporary change by clicking the Saved Data Path list, available on the Client Forms tab and the Profiles tab.
