How do I manage Organizer letters in CCH Axcess™ Tax Correspondence Manager?
Correspondence Manager, opened from Batch Manager, includes features to create, edit, and import Organizer letter templates for Individual and Fiduciary returns.
Opening Correspondence Manager
To open Correspondence Manager from Batch Manager, do the following:
- Open Dashboard.
- Click Applications Links.
- Click Batch Manager under Tax.
- Click Letters in the Customize group on the Home tab.
- Select the year prior of the tax year the organizer is need for, since the information for the organizer pulls from the prior year. Example 2016 organizer will be 2015 year.
Using Correspondence Manager Features
You have the following options to manage Organizer correspondence:
- Selecting Libraries
- Using Content Controls
- Adding Custom Organizer Letters
- Importing Custom Organizer Letters
- Setting Grammar Variables
- Searching for Items in a Library
- Deleting Custom Organizer Letters
Notes
- The editable mailing sheets and alternate mailing sheets are, by default, suppressed in the Organizer print set.
- The non-editable return form mail sheets and alternate mail sheets are, by default, set to always print in the Organizer print set.
- To print editable mail sheets and alternate mail sheets from Correspondence Manager, change the print property to Print Always for the following forms in the Organizer print set:
- Mailing Sheet - To Prep - From CM
- Mailing Sheet - To Taxpayer - From CM
- Alt Mailing Sheet - To Prep - From CM
- Alt Mailing Sheet - To TP - From CM
