How do I clear browser cache, temporary Internet files, and cookies from my Internet browser?

Clearing your Internet browser's cache and cookies, also known as temporary Internet files, can resolve many website functionality and display problems. 

  • The options to clearing cache for each browser is subject to change over time. May need to search on line for up to date settings. 


    Google® Chrome™

    1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon, indicated by the the three dotted lines in the upper-right corner.
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Click Privacy and security 
    4. Select Clear browsing data
    5. Ensure that these items are selected:
    • Time range: All time
    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
    1. Click Clear data.

    Close the Settings tab.

    Microsoft® Edge®

    1. Click the Settings and more icon, indicated by the the three dotted lines in the upper-right corner.
    2. Select History.
    3. Click Clear browsing data, also indicated by the trashcan icon.
    4. Set Time range dropdown to "All time".
    5. Ensure that these items are selected:
    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
    1. Click Clear Now.
    2. Close the Settings tab.

     

    Mozilla® Firefox®

    1. Click the Open application menu icon, indicated by the three stacked parallel lines in the upper-right hand corner.
    2. Click History..
    3. Click Privacy in the left panel.
    4. Under History, click clear your recent history.
    5. Set Time range dropdown to "Everything"
    6. Ensure that these items are selected:
    • Browsing & download history
    • Cookies
    • Cache
    1. Click OK
    2. Close the Settings tab.
