"Runtime error 13: Type mismatch" when inserting or pasting a Trial Balance Link in a cell within Microsoft® Excel®.

This message displayed when inserting a Trial Balance Link into a target cell that already contains information.

Resolution

  1. Right-click on the cell.
  2. Click Clear contents.
  3. Re-insert the Trial Balance Link
