A common issue is that autoflow is turned on within ProSystem fx Planning.

Autoflow is a feature used to copy the information on the input grids from one year of a Case to the subsequent year(s) of the Case.  Autoflow will only copy information to the subsequent year(s) as long as there are no user made entries in the corresponding field for the subsequent year(s).  Autoflow will not copy information over calculated fields, such as carryovers.

To toggle the Autoflow function on or off, follow these steps:

1. Select Tools from the menu bar at the top.
2. Select Autoflow.
• Note: A checkmark next to Autoflow indicates that the feature is active.
• Note: You can also use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A to toggle the autoflow function on and off.

If you are having issues with an import from the tax preparation program. First disable autoflow and then try and re-import the tax return information.
