Procedure
Before being able to transmit an amended return, you must wait for the CRA to assess the original return.
Steps:
Before making any changes, you should create a copy of the return.
- Access the T1ADJ form.
- In the ReFile boxed warning, answer Yes to the question Do you want to electronically retransmit the amended T1 return (using the ReFILE service) instead of mailing a T1ADJ form?
- Follow the Steps to electronically transmit an amended T1 return (ReFILE) in the 2nd boxed warning of the T1ADJ form.
Additional Information
You must make the changes directly in each form or schedule when necessary, and not directly in the T1ADJ form. The T1ADJ form is not transmitted electronically (EFILE).
