How do I download and install the latest update for CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager?

Updates for CCH ProSystem fx Engagement or Workpaper Manager are periodically released.

Downloaded updates are applied to the Engagement or Workpaper Manager version that you currently have installed. The updates on the CCH support site does not upgrade you to a newer annual release version.

Warnings!

  • Before applying any updates or changes be sure to backup all data from the local file rooms and the central file room before applying.
  • When downloading through CCH Software Delivery Manager, it is important that you download and install the correct version that matches to your current installation of Engagement or Workpaper Manager.  If the incorrect version is installed or upgraded then this could impact the data on server or local machines.
  • If downloaded from the support site, the update will fail to install if you are not already on the same version of the software as the update.
  • The update should be ran on all modules listed: Workpaper Management, Terminal Server Client, Terminal Server Database, and Administrator installations.

If updating to version 2019.3.1 or higher the process has changed.  Please see our article for the updated procedure.:

        • The shared path is usually \\[server name]\Engagement CD Image, or \\[server name]\Workpaper Manager CD Image.
        • Do not copy the Engagement CD image folder for installs of the 2019 and newer versions as those installers automatically remove the existing folder and copy the new files over when upgrading the Admin module.
