Prerequisites
- Download IFSetup.exe (installation file) from https://support.cchsfs.com/installer/intelliforms/install.aspx.
- You must be using Citrix® XenApp® and Microsoft® Remote Desktop Server® running Windows® 2016, Windows® 2019 and Windows® 2022. Note that Windows® 2008/2008 R2 and Windows® 2012/2012 R2 are not supported.
- You must have Administration permissions to install CCH IntelliForms.
- Microsoft® .NET Framework 4.8 or newer must be pre-installed on your Citrix® XenApp® and Microsoft® Remote Desktop Servers®.
- Optional: If you want to change CCH IntelliForms global settings:
- Download IntelliFormsAdmin.xml from https://files.cchsfs.com/releases/intelliforms/AdminTool/IntelliFormsAdmin.zip.
- Download instructions from http://files.cchsfs.com/releases/intelliforms/IFADMIN.pdf.
Global Settings
You can set the following settings globally using the IntelliFormsAdmin.xml file (see the Prerequisites section above for download information):- Saved Data Path: This is the location where CCH IntelliForms saves its clients, forms and profiles. The default setting is: C:\Program Data\Wolters Kluwer\IntelliForms. If you want users to save this data to another location, such as a network share or an alternate local hard drive location, without their having to change the path manually, use the IntelliFormsAdmin.xml file.
- Blank Forms Cache: CCH IntelliForms caches downloaded blank forms to improve performance. In a server farm environment a forms cache for each user may reside on the C: drive of each server. In such an environment the various form caches may get out of sync. This may result in a longer download time while the cache is updated when the user opens CCH IntelliForms. Moving the cache to a single shared location can improve performance. The cache path can only be changed using IntelliFormsAdmin.xml.
- Proxy settings: If you require CCH IntelliForms to connect to a specific proxy, rather than have users manually enter these settings within CCH IntelliForms, you can deploy them using the IntelliFormsAdmin.xml file.
Installation Steps
- Click Start > Search and type: Control Panel.
- Click Control Panel > Programs > Install Application on Remote Desktop Server.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse and navigate to IFSetup.exe.
- Select the IFSetup.exe file and click Open.
- Click Next to start the CCH IntelliForms installation.
- On the Welcome page, click Next.
- On the License Agreement window, choose I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
- If you select I do not accept the terms in the license agreement the installation will end.
- On the Customer Information window, enter the user name and organization information, and then click Next.
- On the Select Type window, do one of the following:
- If you want to use the default installation path, select Complete and click Next.
- The default installation path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolters Kluwer\IntelliForms.
- If you want to change the installation path settings, select Custom.
- Click Change to select a custom installation path.
- Note: IntelliForms must be installed on a local hard drive and not a network share.
- Click Next.
- Click Change to select a custom installation path.
- If you want to use the default installation path, select Complete and click Next.
- Select Anyone who uses this computer (all users).
- Click Finish once installation has completed.
- Click Finish in the Remote Desktop Server installation applet window.
- If you are deploying Saved Data Path or proxy settings with the IntelliFormsAdmin.xml file, right-click on the CCH® IntelliForms® desktop icon and click Properties > Open File Location. The CCH IntelliForms application folder opens.
- Copy IntelliFormsAdmin.xml into the folder.
- Repeat the previous steps on each Citrix® XenApp® or Microsoft® Remote Desktop Server® that you want to direct CCH IntelliConnect users to.
- Note. The Saved Data Path must be a location where users have at least Modify permissions.
