Error: "Printer not activated, error code -30" when trying to print to PDF in CCH® ProSystem fx® Practice Management.

There are 2 conditions that can create this error:
The workstation has been upgraded to Windows 10 or it can be due to incompatibility with the Amyuni drivers installed by QuickBooks™, there was a conflict with the drivers installed by CCH®. Updating QuickBooks™ can stop the Practice Printer from working.
Fixes:
For a Windows 10 computer:
      
Uninstall the Practice Printer and reinstall the CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management workstation. Click here for instructions on uninstalling/reinstalling Practice Printer.

For Conflict with the Amyuni drivers:
Note:
Replacing the QuickBooks™ Amyuni DLL will have no effect on the QuickBooks™ application and will allow the CCH® installed edition of the PDF converter to function.

  1. Close QuickBooks™.
  2. Browse to the install location for QuickBooks™.
    • Note: This is typically located in "[?]:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 2010". If the installation path is unknown right click on the shortcut icon for QuickBooks™ and click on Properties, look at the 'Start In' field to get the path.
  3. Right Click and Rename CDINTF.DLL to CDINTF.DLL_4007
  4. Download an updated version of CDINTF.DLL Click here to download the file.
  5. Unzip the file to the install location for QuickBooks™ this is typically located in "[?]:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 2010 ". If the installation path is unknown Right Click on the shortcut icon for QuickBooks™ and click on Properties, look at the 'Start In' field to get the path.
  6. Right click the QuickBooks 2010 folder and select Paste.
  7. Uninstall the Practice Printer and reinstall the CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management workstation. Click here for instructions on uninstalling/reinstalling Practice Printer.
