Error: "Printer not activated, error code -30" when trying to print to PDF in CCH® ProSystem fx® Practice Management.
There are 2 conditions that can create this error:
The workstation has been upgraded to Windows 10 or it can be due to incompatibility with the Amyuni drivers installed by QuickBooks™, there was a conflict with the drivers installed by CCH®. Updating QuickBooks™ can stop the Practice Printer from working.
Fixes:
For a Windows 10 computer:
Uninstall the Practice Printer and reinstall the CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management workstation. Click here for instructions on uninstalling/reinstalling Practice Printer.
For Conflict with the Amyuni drivers:
Note: Replacing the QuickBooks™ Amyuni DLL will have no effect on the QuickBooks™ application and will allow the CCH® installed edition of the PDF converter to function.
- Close QuickBooks™.
- Browse to the install location for QuickBooks™.
- Note: This is typically located in "[?]:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 2010". If the installation path is unknown right click on the shortcut icon for QuickBooks™ and click on Properties, look at the 'Start In' field to get the path.
- Right Click and Rename CDINTF.DLL to CDINTF.DLL_4007
- Download an updated version of CDINTF.DLL Click here to download the file.
- Unzip the file to the install location for QuickBooks™ this is typically located in "[?]:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 2010 ". If the installation path is unknown Right Click on the shortcut icon for QuickBooks™ and click on Properties, look at the 'Start In' field to get the path.
- Right click the QuickBooks 2010 folder and select Paste.
- Uninstall the Practice Printer and reinstall the CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management workstation. Click here for instructions on uninstalling/reinstalling Practice Printer.
