How do I configure CCH® ProSystem fx Site Builder Email to work with Microsoft® Outlook?
To configure your POP (Post Office Protocol) compliant version of Microsoft Outlook (2003 and higher) to retrieve email from your CCH ProSystem fx Site Builder Webmail account, do the following:
For Outlook 2013 and higher:
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Click New.
- Select E-mail Account and click Next.
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
- Click Next.
- Select Internet E-mail.
- Click Next.
- Your Name: Enter your name here.
- E-mail Address: emailaddress@domain.com (full email address)
- Incoming mail server: pop3.postoffice.net
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.postoffice.net
- Username: emailaddress@domain.com (full email address)
- Password: Enter your CCH Site Builder Webmail password.
- Select More Settings...
- Select Outgoing Server (tab).
- In the box titled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, select the check box.
- In the box titled Use same settings as my incoming server, select the check box.
- Select Advanced (tab).
- Under 'Incoming Server (POP3)': Select the check box labeled This server requires an encrypted connection and use port 995.
- Under 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)': Use port 587 and change the drop down to TLS. (MUST use TLS1.2)
- Click OK.
- On Test Account Settings, make sure both checks are complete.
- Click Next on the E-Mail Accounts window.
- Click Finish.
For Outlook Office 365:
- Click File menu/tab
- Click Account settings.
- Select Account Settings item
- On next screen, click New.
- Click Advanced options.
- Click "Let me setup my account manually.
- Click POP.
- Enter information as displayed here and click Next.
- Enter password.
- Follow remaining menus.
