"Printer not activated, error -30" when printing to the Document PDF Converter in CCH Axcess™ or CCH® ProSystem fx® Document.

CCH® ProSystem fx® Document
Make sure the Printer is running in your system tray.
- Browse to the installation directory of the smart client
- For Axcess Document: ?:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\SaaS
- For Prosystem fx Document: ?:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\OP
- Open CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe

Remove and reinstall the CCH Axcess™ or CCH® ProSystem fx® Document PDF Converter .
CCH Axcess™
- Remove theCCH Axcess Document PDF Converter.
- In Windows 10, launch Control Panel > Printers and Scanners.
- Select the CCH Axcess Document PDF Converter and remove it from the system.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\SaaS.
- Delete CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe.
- This will be replaced with a new copy in the following steps.
- Launch the CCH Axcess™ Install and Update Manager on the workstation.
- Ensure only Document is selected.
- Click Repair and after the repair has completed, reboot the workstation.
- Look in the Windows System Tray for the CCH Axcess Document Printer icon.
- If you see the CCH Axcess Document Printer, the issue is resolved.
- If you don't see it, either reboot the system or navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\SaaS\CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe, right-click the file and launch it.
CCH® ProSystem fx® Document
- Remove the Pfx Document PDF Converter.
- In Windows 10, launch Control Panel > Printers and Scanners.
- Select the Pfx Document PDF Converter and remove it from the system.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\OP.
- Delete CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe.
- This will be replaced with a new copy in the following steps.
- Launch the ProSystem fx® Install and Update Manager (Client Edition).
- Click Repair and after the repair has completed, reboot the workstation.
- Look in the Windows System Tray for Pfx Document Printer icon.
- If you see the Pfx Document Printer, the issue is resolved.
- If you don't see it, either reboot the system or navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\OP\CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe, right-click the file and launch it.
- Repairing the application will disable the enabled plugins, which you'll need to re-enable. See our article 000033764 "How do I install, update, or uninstall the Microsoft Office Plug-ins for CCH Axcess™ or CCH® ProSystem fx® Document?" for steps.
- These steps normally resolve the issue. In some cases, you may have to either reinstall Document, or clear the workstation cache (see 000040655 "How do I clear the cache for CCH Axcess™ products or for CCH® ProSystem fx® Document?"), or both.
- Also Antivirus software (AV) has been know to cause the same error. Adding an exclusion to this file in AV may resolve the issue: C:\Program Files (x86)\WK\ProSystem fx Suite\Smart Client\OP\CCh.Document.PDFPrinter.exe
