​This video explains how to find when tax forms will be available to file using CCH Axcess™ Tax and CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax.



The forms release status web page shows when the new year's forms will be available or were released to file.

To view the Forms Release Status, click one of the links below:

CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax

1. In Tax Preparation, click Forms Status on the menu bar.
2. Log into the Support site if prompted.
   • Click for instructions on setting up a user ID and password for the Support site.

Using Support.CCH.com

1. Go to Support.CCH.com.
2. Click Product Support > Product Support.
3. Click the All Products tab.
4. Click CCH Axcess™ Tax or CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax (depending on which Tax program you use).
5. On the left side of the page, click Forms Release Status.
   • If prompted to log in to the Support site, enter your User ID and Password.
   • Click for instructions on setting up a user ID and password for the Support site.
6. Select the forms status that you want to view.
   • Paper File. Lists the forms used when paper filing returns.
   • Electronic File. Lists the forms used when electronically filing returns.
7. Select how you to view the statuses.
   • By product. The forms list is organized by tax product (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, etc...).
   • By Taxing Authority. The forms list is organized by taxing authority (Federal, Alabama, Alaska, California, etc...).
   • By Status. The forms list is organized by the status of the form (Approval Pending, Final Not Received, Released, Work in Process).
   • By FastForms Date Released. The forms list is organized by the date that the form was released using FastForms.  
8. Based on your selection in the step above, select the appropriate choice in the Product, Taxing Authority, Status, or Date list.

• How do I find the CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax product release schedule?
• Forms are released using product updates or FastForms releases.
• FastForms is a feature that allows the "Approval pending do not file" watermark to be removed from forms when the form is approved by the tax authority, and no further update to the form needs to be made. FastForms updates are hassle free and automatic. There is no installation or update process to complete to receive the FastForms updates.
• In order to receive FastForms updates in CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax, you must have an active Internet connection.
