How do I add or modify my EFIN that is on file with TaxWise®?
To verify that we have the correct EFIN on file, do the following:
- Go to the TaxWise® Solution Center.
- Login with your [client id], username Admin and [your password].
- Click My Information > Electronic Filing.
To add or modify your EFIN, do the following:
- Go to the TaxWise® Solution Center.
- Login with your [client id], username Admin and [your password].
- Click My Information > EFIN Request.
- Click Request New EFIN.
- To accept the terms and conditions, do the following:
- Select the I accept check box.
- Enter your [email address] in the Signed by email box.
- Note: Click Manage Users > Edit (for the Admin user) to verify the email address. Copy and paste this email address.
- Press the Tab or Enter key.
- Enter the EFIN, EFIN holder's first and last name in the appropriate fields.
- Click Choose File to browse for a copy of your IRS EFIN Letter.
- Note: You must attach a PDF copy of the IRS EFIN Letter. You can upload a copy of your IRS e-File Application Summary page from your IRS e-Services account if you do not have access to the original EFIN letter.
- Click Submit.

- If you encounter any issues when uploading your EFIN letter, please email it to sfs.efinar@wolterskluwer.com or fax it to 800-834-485.
- You will receive an e-mail containing your updated codes for your software. That e-mail will come from customer.support@cchsfs.com with UNLOCK CODE in the subject line. Your Registration Code may also be referred to as REG CODE or REGCODE. If you do not receive this e-mail within 24 hours, contact Customer Service.
- Though the ability to e-file with your updated EFIN(s) is usually activated within 4 hours, it could take up to 24 hours to complete your request.
