The Year folder is automatically generated each year by CCH Axcess™ or CCH® ProSystem fx® Document in preparation for the coming tax season, unless the firm has already created this folder per our article 000069299 "How do I add a new Year folder in CCH Axcess™ or CCH® ProSystem fx® Document?". By design, the new Year folder is always displayed at the bottom of the folder tree in all folder templates for all entity types (e.g., Clients, Staff, Firm, etc.). Firms can move the new Year folder to the top of the folder tree.

To change the display order in CCH Axcess™ Document (including Hybrid): 

1. Launch CCH Axcess™ Dashboard > Application Links > Firm > Settings and defaults > Document > Folder Templates > Managed (or Extended, if applicable).
2. Double-click a template that you need to change (e.g., Client folder template, etc.).
3. Click the Entity icon to expand it.
4. Click the new Year folder.
5. Click the upward-pointing arrow to the right to move the folder upward to the top of the folder tree.
6. Click OK to save your changes, and repeat the steps with each of the remaining folder templates; the changes take effect as soon as you click the OK button and when users refresh the folder pane in CCH Axcess™ Document.

To change the display order in CCH® ProSystem fx® Document: 

1. Launch CCH® ProSystem fx® Dashboard > Configuration > Document (or Firm) > Settings and Defaults > Document > Folder Templates > Managed (or Extended, as applicable).
2. Double-click a template that you need to change (e.g., Client folder template, etc.).
3. Click the Entity icon to expand it.
4. Click the new Year folder.
5. Click the upward-pointing arrow to the right to move the folder upward to the top of the folder tree.
6. Click OK to save your changes, and repeat the steps with each of the remaining folder templates; the changes take effect as soon as you click the OK button and when users refresh the folder pane in CCH® ProSystem fx® Document.
