Prerequisites - [return]

  • Add the e-mail address that will be used for "System email" to the 'approved senders' list. The user must have 'send as' permission.
  • Add noreply@cch.com to the 'approved senders' list. This user must also have 'send as' permission.
  • For DYNetc, all Document On-Premise staff email addresses must be added to the 'approved senders' list.

Install and configuration: Steps for use with new installations of Document. - [return]

  1. Install Document On-Premise. On the SMTP Configuration page, enter the System email from the Prerequisites step above. Set the SMTP host to the Document server name or IP address (Only use IP if the Document server has a static IP). Use the Standard SMTP port 25, and disable authentication.
  2. Before proceeding, go to the IIS 6.0 Manager from Administrative Tools on the Document application server. Right-click SMTP Virtual Server and click Properties.
  3. Go to the Access tab and click Relay... Set this to "All except the list below" and leave the list blank.
  4. Go to the Delivery tab and click Advanced. Set the Smart host to the mail provider's SMTP address.
  5. Click Outbound Security (also on the Delivery tab) and select Basic Authentication. Enter the user and password from the System email account.
    • For Microsoft Office365 and Thought Bus, checkmark TLS encryption also. Then go to Outbound Connections and set the TCP port to 587.
