The journal entry detail rows in a Trial Balance report can be expanded and collapsed by the available buttons in the top left of the Excel report.

• the journal entry detail/summary indicator is on the far left side of the spreadsheet. This is similar to the subtotal feature in Excel®.
  
  Click the minus sign (‑) to collapse the detail for a specific account or the 1 button on the top of that column to collapse all detail. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the detail for a specific account or the 2 button on the top of the column to expand all detail.

If the issue is not that the Journal Entries have been collapsed:

1. In the trial balance report, go to the CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager ribbon, and select Properties. 
   • If you receive a message "This function is only avaialble in a trial balance or trial balance report" it means that the report has become corrupt and unusable. You will need to recreate the report. For steps on recreating the report, refer to the article How do I create a trial balance report in CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager. 
2. Click on the Settings tab. 
3. Clear the box for Hide zero account balances.
4. Click OK.
