How do I know if Data Axcess Utility refresh was successful?

Summary

  • Beginning with release 2018-3.3a you know that the refresh was not successful when an error file is created. If the error file was not created then the refresh succeeded.
  • Prior to release 2018-3.3a someone needs to review the log file content for error messages.


Detailed Steps

  1. Log in to the computer where Data Axcess Utility is installed.
  2. Browse to C:\[installation path]\CCH_BATCH\logs\  This is usually C:\Data Axcess Utility\CCH_BATCH\logs\
  3. Sort the file list so that the most recent files are at the top.
    • Look at files with a time stamp that corresponds with when the refresh job finished.
    • The refresh job was successful if a file with the prefix dau_errors was not created. 
    • The refresh job had errors that could not be resolved if a file with the prefix dau_errors was created.
    • Note: A log file with the prefix dau_log is always created. 
  4. See attached DAU-log-search-tips-v1.pdf for some examples and suggested follow-up.
  5. If an error persists, Open a ticket and attach a zipped up copy of the Data Axcess Utility logs folder.
