Open the iQ Events Pane

To add or open the iQ Events pane, click Application Links on the Dashboard navigation panel, and then click iQ Events under Business Intelligence.

The pane provides the following details:

  • A short description of each news event.
  • The status of where a news event is in the legislative process, either Announced, Proposed, or Final.
  • The number of clients that may be affected by each news event.
    • Note: Clients you are not granted access to are not included in the number. These may be clients in a client access group for which you are not granted access. They can also be clients whose tax returns are linked to projects for which you are assigned a role and that role is not granted the Tax returns > View functional right.
You can do the following:
  • Click User-added image to refine the news events that display in the pane.
  • Click User-added image to download editable correspondence regarding each news event that you can send to clients. You can also copy the letter contents in an email message or use the contents as points of conversation with your customers.
Note: The pane content is based on queries that are run by our Editorial team. Refresh updates the pane only after a new query is run.
