• Steps 1-4 must be complete before an appointment with an implementation consultant.
• Steps 5-9 may be done in advance or completed during your implementation appointment.

1. At least 24 hours before installing, enable Data Axcess in firm settings:
   1. Open the CCH Axcess™ Dashboard.
   2. Navigate to Application Links > Firm > Settings and Defaults > Reports.
   3. Select the Populate Data Axcess API data warehouse check box.
2. Verify that your firm uses a compatible login option.

3. Setup a CCH Axcess user for Data Axcess Utility.

4. Obtain administrative logon rights to the computer where the utility will reside.
5. Verify that this computer meets or exceeds the system requirements for Data Axcess Utility as outlined in this article.

6. Configure your firewall for CCH Axcess.

7. Install Microsoft SQL Server® 2017 or 2019 on the machine you plan on installing the Data Axcess Utility. See our guide for manually installing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 for CCH Axcess Data Axcess Utility.
8. Create a SQL database account with the following privileges:
   • Allow SQL Server authentication
   • Create database
   • Create users and logins
   • Create tables
   • Insert, Update, Delete on tables
9. Configure the SQL service to allow remote connections.
10. Allow TCP port 1433 connections between the SQL server and any computers running reporting software.
