Cause
This diagnostic issues when the PTIN information is entered, however, the registered owner of the PTIN has not confirmed that it is accurate.
Resolution
Depending on where the PTIN information was entered in (either in Return Configuration Set, Office Manager, or in Tax preparation), there are different locations the PTIN could be verified.
- For CCH Axcess™ Tax, please see our solution on how do I indicate that the PTIN entered in the Return Configuration Set (RCS) or the tax return is accurate for returns in CCH Axcess™ Tax.
- For CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax information on entering in Office Manager, see the solution how to indicate that the PTIN entered in Office Manager for returns in CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax.
