An issue has been discovered within CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax 2020 Individual tax program when sending a return to CCH® eSign.

Returns in 2020 CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax software are not being uploaded for CCH® eSign and instead are sent directly to Electronic Filing Status System®.

• During export for efile, on the initial window Select Returns for Export, when a user selects a tax authority listed under the Returns column, and the Send for eSign checkbox, and selects the Export button, the system skips over the next step, Upload 8879 and instead continues to the upload to the electronic filing website step.

As of February 12, 2021, CCH Development team has corrected and resolved this with release 2020.02050, available for download on February 14th, 2021.

• If planning to upload a tax year 2020 Individual 1040 return to CCH® eSign system, please wait to e-File until after installing release 2020.02050 and recalculating the return on this release before uploading for eSign.
