Procedure

GENERAL

What if my firm does not use CCH Axcess?
CCH Axcess Workflow can be used on its own, without any other CCH Axcess products. Firms can continue to login to Workflow directly through the browser and manage users and permissions through the Manage Users Utility. Our development teams will continue to build new features and enhancements that will benefit all customers. However, you will get more value and integration if you do leverage other components of CCH Axcess.

Can I demo CCH Axcess Workflow?
You can see a preview CCH Axcess Workflow by visiting Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting Solution Product Demos | Wolters Kluwer

Where will Staff Permissions be managed?
Permissions related to CCH Axcess Workflow will continue to be managed within the Manage Users profile within Workflow Utilities (regardless of integration status).

LOGGING IN

Why am I being prompted to enter an Account Number?
CCH Axcess Workflow is part of the CCH Axcess product Suite.  The Account Number is to provide the one product feel as well as to add additional security and functionality moving forward.  Firms that use multiple accounts will soon be able to use the same email between accounts instead of having to create multiple emails to keep up with.

Will my login credentials change?
Your login credentials will not change. You can continue to use your Workflow credentials. Customers who are using an existing CCH Axcess program will be able to use their CCH Axcess login once the staff integration process is complete.

Can I continue to login through my browser, or will I need to login through CCH Axcess?
You can continue to launch CCH Axcess Workflow through your browser. If you have another CCH Axcess program, you can also launch CCH Axcess Workflow through the CCH Axcess Application Dashboard.

What forms of authentication are required for 2-factor authentication?
Phone numbers will be required for 2-factor authentication, required by the IRS. Options will be available to get the passcode via text or voice message.

Will 2-factor authentication affect firms that use SSO for logins?
Firms that are using SSO will not be challenged with the additional 2-factor authentication feature.

Will I be required to change my password?
You will be prompted to change your password every 90 days. This is an information security best practice and required by the IRS.

INTEGRATION

Will CCH Axcess Workflow integrate with CCH ProSystem fx Tax?
The integrations that we are currently focused on are specific to the CCH Axcess product line.

Will CCH Axcess Workflow integrate with CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management?
Any existing integrations will continue to work. New integrations are available with a one-time service charge for the installation, which is due to the complexity of the installation itself. However, there will be no annual charge for the integration moving forward.

Will CCH Axcess Workflow integrate with CCH ProSystem fx Document (on-premise)?
No, with the announcement of the End-of-Support for CCH ProSystem fx Document (on-remise), and tightening our integrations with CCH Axcess Document, we will not be supporting integration with Document (on-premise).

Will CCH Axcess Workflow integrate with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement?
The integrations that we are currently focused on are specific to the CCH Axcess product line.

Can I integrate with CCH Axcess and CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management at the same time?
Client Integration can only be between one or the other, however you can be integrated with CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management for Client and Time, and have Staff Integrated with CCH Axcess to take advantage of the single set of logon credentials and staff management.  This request would need to be provided to support as there are some additional steps to ensure correct setup.  Also, please refer to the documentation as Office integration is included with Staff Integration for CCH Axcess.
