CCH® ProSystem fx® Document or CCH Axcess™ Document add-ins are inactive when I open Microsoft® Office?

This may occur variously for Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Excel® or Microsoft® Outlook®.
  1. Verify the add-in is inactive and not disabled.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the specific add-in.
  3. Check the LoadBehavior registry key.
    • Note: This should only be done by an IT Professional.
    • Note: [Specific program] refers to Outlook, Word, or Excel
    • It is located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\[Specific program]\Addins\Cch.Pfx.OfficeAddin.Core.[Specific program]
    • Change the LoadBehavior value to 3.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the Office Framework.
  5. Log in to the computer as a different Microsoft® Windows® user.
Note: If issue with plugin persists and is specific to Microsoft® Outlook®, the add-in may have been causing Microsoft® Outlook® to start slowly. Enabling it here forces Microsoft® Outlook® to not disable it because of excessive load time.

You manage slow and disabled Add-ins by doing the following:
  1. Open Microsoft® Outlook®.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Manage Add-Ins.
  4. You should see Cch.Pfx.OfficeAddin.Core.Outlook in the list as a detected problem.
  5. Select Always enable this add-in.
