Important!
- Upgrading from versions older than the currently supported versions may require upgrades to other supporting programs that have changed in the system requirements. Check the system requirements for each version of the software before upgrading to assure the new version will be supported.
- Support will only assist with upgrading an environment to a currently supported version. If upgrading an environment to an unsupported version, please consult our PCS services by contacting your sales representative.
- Example: Wanting to upgrade version 2018 to 2020, while the oldest supported version is 2021.
- Both servers and workstations must upgrade in the order corresponding below. If the upgrade is attempted out of order on either machine, the software may not be able to upgrade the databases properly.
- Upgrading the software means running the upgrade on the existing system, not migrating the data to a higher version or performing an installation on a machine for the first time. If using the backup and restore utility to migrate the data, the paths below may not be adequate. Please consult support if unsure how to proceed.
For information upgrading to version 7.5 or older:
Pease review the upgrade paths listed in the "To install 2019" section of this article. Upgrade to 7.5 instead of 2017.
