How do I resend the Welcome Email for CCH Axcess™ Portal?

Objectives

To resend the welcome email for new Portal users

Environment

  • CCH Axcess
  • CCH Axcess Portal 
  • CCH Axcess Document
  • CCH ProSystem fx Document

 

Procedure

As long as the email was sent within the past 14 days, you can use this procedure:

  1. Launch Dashboard.
  2. Do one of the following, depending on which version of Document you use:
    • CCH Axcess Document. Click Application Links on the navigation pane.
    • CCH ProSystem fx Document. Click Configuration on the navigation pane.
  3. Click Firm Settings and Defaults under Firm.
  4. Select Portal > Email Queue.
  5. Select Portal user created Welcome email from the Select an event to edit list.
  6. Enter the Client Sort Name in the Search box to the right and click the search button.
  7. Check the box in the column for Resend Email Notification.
  8. Click Resend.
If it has been more than 14 days you will have to manually resend it by doing the following:
  1. Launch Dashboard.
  2. Do one of the following, depending on which version of Document you use:
    • CCH Axcess Document. Click Application Links on the navigation pane.
    • CCH ProSystem fx Document. Click Configuration on the navigation pane.
  3. Click Firm Settings and Defaults under Firm.
  4. Select Portal > Email Notifications.
  5. Select an event to edit.
  6. Select Portal User created Welcome email.
  7. At the bottom of the  Email Content section, copy the Body information and paste it into a new email. The words that have the <> around them are key words. Those will not fill out so you will have to manually change those to the correct information in your email.
NOTE:  The portal user can also go to the website clientaxcess.com and click Forgot Password to have a temporary one sent.
