What are the sales tax implications of electronically delivered software?
Some states do not require the collection of sales tax for software products provided by electronic download.
- For firms located in states with this policy, CCH invoices will reflect this adjustment.
- CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement and CCH® ProSystem fx® Knowledge Coach customers will see this change on their 2014 invoices.
- For all other products, invoices covering subscription periods starting December 2014 and later will reflect this change.
- For firms located in states that charge sales tax on electronic transactions, this change will have no impact.
