Why are the client counts in the iQ Events list different from what I see on the detailed Affected Client list?

Symptoms
The client count in the CCH Axcess iQ Events list is different from the detailed Affected Client list.

Resolution
There are two reasons why there may be a different number of clients in the client count displayed in the iQ Events page (see Figure 1) and the actual number of clients in the detailed Affected Client list.
The client count displayed in the iQ Events page reflects the total number of affected clients at a firm level; however, if your user does not have adequate permissions to view returns in a particular Client Acess Group, these returns will not be displayed in the detailed Affected Client list.
Also, filtering the Affected Client list by Client Responsible Staff may also restrict the number of returns displayed in the Affected Client list.
