How do I send a tax return for CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax to customer support?

Before sending a return to support, you can scrub sensitive information from it.
There are two methods that allow you to transfer tax return files and or other documents that are needed by Support. Both of these methods use 128-bit encryption meeting IRC Section 7216 security policy guidelines.
  1. Attach a return to a case.
  2. Sending Files Through Communications.
  3. Additional Information.
Sending Files Through Communications - (ProSystem fx Tax only) - [Return]
  1. Open Communications.
    • Communications is a program located in the ProSystem fx Tax folder.
Communications
  1. Click Support.
  2. In File type, select either Files or Returns.
    • If you select Returns, the sensitive information such as SSN and banking information will automatically be scrubbed from it. This option is only available for tax year 2017 and higher.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Select the appropriate returns/files to send to support.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click Submit.
