How do I log in to CCH Axcess™ using 2-step verification?

The video below shows how to log in to CCH Axcess using 2-step verification.

  1. Accept the account number that was retained from your last log in or click the Edit button to enter a different account number.
  2. Enter your user ID.
    • If you do not remember your user ID, click Forgot User ID and enter the email address that is entered in your staff profile as your system email address. You will receive an email containing your user ID.
  3. Enter your password.
    • If you do not remember your password, click Forgot Password and enter the answer to your security question. You will receive an email with a temporary password. When you log in using the temporary password, you are prompted to reset the password. See our article on resetting passwords for more information.
  4. ​Enter the text in the image provided to validate your identity.
    • The text is not case sensitive.
    • The text expires after 60 seconds. Click Reset to obtain a new image. 
  5. Click Login. 
  6. To verify your identity, select one of the following:
    • Email. Sends a verification code to your email address. 
    • Text message. Sends a verification code to your phone number. 
    • Voice message. Sends a verification request to your phone number. 
Note: Email is the only available option if you have not entered a phone number in your staff profile. 
  1. Click Send the Code. 
    • The code expires five minutes after it is sent.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If you selected the voice message option, you will be prompted to press # on your phone keypad.
    • If you selected the email or text option, retrieve and enter the code on the Account Verification window.
  3. Click Remember this device if you are using a private and secure device to bypass 2-step verification for the number of days your firm has configured in Login Setup.
    • Do not select this option if you are using a public device.
    • The verification process is specific to your user credentials, device, and browser. You can select to trust each device that you use to log in to CCH Axcess.
  4. ​Do one of the following:
    • If you used the voice message option, click Voice Message was Received.
    • If you used the email or text option, click Submit.
