How do I install or update the ATX™ W2/1099 Payroll Compliance software to workstations on my network for tax year 2017 and prior years?

This video shows how to install or update ​W2/1099 Payroll Compliance to the workstations on your network. This applies to ATX™ W2/1099 Payroll Compliance and TaxWise® W2/1099 Payroll Compliance.



Before installing the W2/1099 Payroll Compliance software to workstations on your network, it must be installed to your network server. If you haven't installed it to your network server yet, see our article on how to install the W2/1099 Payroll Compliance software to a network server.

To install or update software on network workstations, do the following:

  1. On each workstation, navigate to the shared folder/directory on the network server.
  2. Open the Payroll YYYY\Netsetup folder within the shared directory
    • Where YYYY is the year.
  3. Double-click the NetSetup.exe file to begin the installation.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  5. Repeat these steps on all of your other workstations.
