Learn how to uninstall Server XIS.
Environment
- CCH Axcess Workflow

- CCH ProSystem fx Practice Management
Procedure
SERVER UNINSTALL (if you have an existing install present)
- Uninstall the current 'XCM Integration Service' from Programs and Features.
Go to Programs and Features.
To uninstall the current 'XCM Integration Service', click on Uninstall.
Click on Yes to remove the existing installation.
2. Check that the XCM Integration service is removed from Services.msc (can take 20‐30 seconds ‐ refresh if still displaying)
If the XCM Integration service is removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then step 3 and 4 are not required.
If the XCM Integration service is not removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then continue with Step 3.
If the XCM Integration service is removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then step 3 and 4 are not required.
If the XCM Integration service is not removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then continue with Step 3.
3. Check Task Manager that there is no running XIS Process or Service in any users context (If so, Kill the Process/service(s)) (XCM Integration Service)
Go to Task Manager (Right click on the Task bar)
Go to the "Details" tab.
Click on XCMServer.exe or XCMISService.exe
Right-click and click on "End Task"
To confirm the end, click on End Process button.

Kill the Process/Service from an Administrator elevated command prompt:
Go to the "Details" tab.
Click on XCMServer.exe or XCMISService.exe
Right-click and click on "End Task"
To confirm the end, click on End Process button.

Kill the Process/Service from an Administrator elevated command prompt:
Taskkill /IM xcmisservice.exe /F
Taskkill /IM xcmserver.exe /F
Taskkill /IM xcmserver.exe /F
- Go to Windows search and type "cmd"
- Run as Administrator
- Copy and paste the below execution instruction one by one.
Taskkill /IM xcmisservice.exe /F
Taskkill /IM xcmserver.exe /F
*if the service is found, the execution code will terminate, if the service not found, then you can see the service is not found (which means it's not running)
If the XCM Integration service is removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then step 4 is not required.
If the XCM Integration service still not removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then continue with Step 4.
If the XCM Integration service still not removed from Services.msc ( go to "Run" and type Services.msc) then continue with Step 4.
4. If the Service still remains in Services.msc, delete from an Administrator elevated command prompt:
SC Delete xisservice
