How do the changes noted in the CCH Software News impact Stand-alone Portal?

While we all know internally that 2-Step verification was implemented independently for SA Portal and that SA Portal is also being sunset, the changes referenced in the CCH Software News are not applicable to SA Portal. This will be explicitly called out in future communications.

Our firm does not issue cell phones for business purposes and are concerned about using their personal devices for 2-Step verification as they do not want any solicitation from WK?

Removing email as a method to receive the 2-Step access code has strong guidance from the IRS for all professional software vendors. This leaves the approved authentication modes tied to phone numbers and cell devices. The usage of phone numbers for this use case is specific to application authentication and will never be used for marketing or solicitation from Wolters Kluwer.


I can’t find the WK Authenticator app on the Google Play or Apple Store?

Within the applications, we have used the WK acronym for the ‘WK Authenticator’ option. To download the app from either Google Play or Apple Store you will find the name of the app as ‘Wolters Kluwer Authenticator’.

Can I Pair my device for both WK Authenticator and Google Authenticator?

No, at this time you may pair your device for one Authenticator or the other, but not both at the same time. You must first unpair your device to pair with a different Authenticator.

Do these 2-Step Verification changes apply to Financial Prep and Client Collaboration?

Any application currently using IDaaS with the CCH Login mode of authentication will see these changes to 2-Step verification. While FP and CC are not using the Smart Client, they are using the Token OAuth for authentication which does use IDaaS.

Why is my update for Axcess talking longer to download and install

There is a large size increase over previous updates this year, download and installation times will be impacted.
