How do I clear browser cache, temporary Internet files, and cookies from my Internet browser?

Clearing your Internet browser's cache and cookies, also known as temporary Internet files, can resolve many website functionality and display problems.
 

Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 9, 10, and 11

  1. Click Tools User-added image on the menu bar. 
    • If you do not see the menu bar at the top of Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, press Alt on your keyboard to reveal it.
  2. Select Internet options.
  3. In the Browsing history section click Delete.
  4. Select the following items and deselect all others:
    • Temporary Internet files and website files
    • Cookies and website data
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Click OK.


Mozilla® Firefox®

  1. Launch Mozilla® Firefox®.
  2. Click the Open Menu icon in the upper right.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Privacy in the left panel.
  5. Under History, click clear your recent history.
  6. Next to Time range to clear, select Everything from the list.
  7. Ensure that these items are selected:
  • Cookies
  • Cache
  1. Click Clear Now


Google® Chrome™

  1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon in the upper-right corner of the window.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Show advanced Settings.
  4. Under Privacy, click Clear browsing data.
  5. Next to Time range, select All time from the list.
  6. Ensure that these items are selected:
  • Cookies and other site data
  • Cached images and files
  1. Click Clear data.
  2. Close the Settings tab.
