How can I remove nexus coverage from a single state, county, city, or local?

  1. Login to the Sales Tax Office Administration Module.
  2. Select Entities > Maintain.
  3. Highlight the correct entity on the Maintain Entities dialog.
  4. Select Divisions.
  5. Highlight the correct division on the Maintain Divisions dialog, and select the Nexus button.
  6. Select New to enter the New Division Nexus dialog or Edit to enter the Edit Division Nexus dialog.
  7. In the New Division Nexus or Edit Division Nexus dialog, use the tree on the left to browse to one level higher than the area from which you want to remove nexus coverage. (e.g. If you want to remove nexus for the state of New York, select the country of USA on the tree.)
  8. In the Selected location area high on the right, make sure that Nexus checkbox is checked and Apply to subordinates checkbox is unchecked.
  9. Click the Update button in the Selected location area.
  10. Select Yes to continue modifying nexus.
  11. At this point, nexus should have been removed from all subordinate locations in the grid.
  12. Select the first item in the Subordinate locations grid. (e.g. the state of Alabama.)
