How do I create a scheduled task for the Document Completion Date Report (DCD) in CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpape Manager Administrator module?

To create the Scheduled Task for the Document Completion Date report, you must log onto the machine that has the CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager Administrator installed.

Note: The Engagement or Workpaper Manager Administrator Workstation cannot create the schedule task remotely.
  1. Launch the Engagement or Workpaper Manager Administrator module.
  2. Go to Tools and select Scheduled Tasks.
  3. Highlight Generate Document Completion Date report.
  4. Click Task Properties.
    • A pop-up window should display a window named "Document Completion Date Report" in the header.  If it doesn't display then it will open in the background or behind the Engagement or Workpaper Manager Administrator module window. If you cannot find "Document Completion Date Report" window behind the Engagement or Workpaper Manager Administrator module, then you can do one of the following:
      • Hold ALT key on your keyboard and press TAB. This will rotate between Windows that are currently opened if you press TAB multiple times while holding ALT. "Document Completion Date Report" window should be among the rotation of windows where it can be highlighted as you hold ALT and press TAB.
  • Open the Windows Task Manager by right clicking on the Windows Task Bar and selecting Task Manager. Then look for the task named "COM Surrogate (32-bit)." Expand and double-click on the "Document Completion Date Report," and this will bring the window to the front.
  1. On the General tab
    • Next to the "Run as" label, enter the desired Windows user profile and click Set Password. Enter the password in and press OK.
    • Check the box at the bottom "Enabled (scheduled task runs as specific time)."
  2. On the Schedule tab
    • Set your desired date & time to run.
  3. Confirm and review all tabs and confirm are set as desired and appropriately.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Close.

To test that the scheduled task has been created:

  1. Open the Windows Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Highlight the "Document Completion Date Report" task that was created above.
  3. Right-click, and select Run.
