How do I uninstall or reinstall a CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement, Workpaper Manager, or Knowledge Coach Ribbon?
To reinstall the ribbons for Microsoft® Excel® and Word:
- Open Windows® Explorer.
- Navigate to C:\Pfx Engagement\WM.
- Double-click on each of the following VSTO files, one at a time.
- Pfx.Ribbon.Exceladdin
- Pfx.Ribbon.Wordaddin
- Pfx.KnowledgeCoach.Word (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
- Pfx.KnowledgeCoach.WordAddin (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
- Pfx.KnoweldgeCoach.ExcelAddin (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
- If you receive a message that the ribbon is already installed, follow the next steps to uninstall the ribbon and then reinstall.
To uninstall the ribbons for Microsoft® Excel® and Word:
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Right-click on each of the following and choose Unisntall.
- Pfx.Ribbon.Exceladdin
- Pfx.Ribbon.Wordaddin
- Pfx.KnowledgeCoach.Word (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
- Pfx.KnowledgeCoach.WordAddin (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
- Pfx.KnoweldgeCoach.ExcelAddin (for Knowledge Coach installations only)
Note: After uninstalling and reinstalling the ribbons, the best practice is to open Microsoft® Excel® and Word from inside Engagement or Workpaper Manager at least once to activate the ribbons.
