How do I configure CCH® ProSystem fx Site Builder Email to work with Microsoft® Outlook?

To configure your POP (Post Office Protocol) compliant version of Microsoft Outlook (2003 and higher) to retrieve email from your CCH ProSystem fx Site Builder Webmail account, do the following:


For Microsoft® Outlook 2003:

  1. Go to File > Tools > E-mail Accounts.
  2. Under the "Email" section, select Add a new email account and click Next.
  3. At the E-Mail Accounts window, select POP3 as your server type and click Next.
  4. In the E-Mail Accounts window, complete the following information:
    • Your Name: Enter your name here.
    • E-mail Address: firstname@ domain.com
    • Incoming mail server: pop3.postoffice.net
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.postoffice.net
    • Username: firstname@domain .com
    • Password: Enter your CCH Site Builder Webmail password.
  5. Select More Settings...
  6. Select Outgoing Server (tab).
    • In the box titled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, select the check box. 
    • In the box titled Use same settings as my incoming server, select the check box.  
  7. Select Advanced (tab).
    • Under 'Incoming Server (POP3)': select the check box labeled This server requires an encrypted connection and use port 995.
    • Under 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)': Use port 465 and change the drop down to SSL.
  8. Click OK.
  9. On Test Account Settings, make sure both checks are complete.
  10. Click Next on the E-Mail Accounts window.
  11. Click Finish.
 

For Outlook 2007 and higher:

  1. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select E-mail Account and click Next.
  4. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select Internet E-mail.
  7. Click Next.
    • Your Name: Enter your name here.
    • E-mail Address: firstname@ domain.com
    • Incoming mail server: pop3.postoffice.net
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.postoffice.net
    • Username: firstname@ domain.com
    • Password: Enter your CCH Site Builder Webmail password.
  8. Select More Settings...
  9. Select Outgoing Server (tab).
    1. In the box titled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, select the check box. 
    2. In the box titled Use same settings as my incoming server, select the check box. 
  10. Select Advanced (tab).
    1. Under 'Incoming Server (POP3)': Select the check box labeled This server requires an encrypted connection and use port 995.
    2. Under 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)': Use port 465 and change the drop down to SSL.
  11. Click OK.
  12. On Test Account Settings, make sure both checks are complete.
  13. Click Next on the E-Mail Accounts window.
