To get started with CCH Axcess Open Integration Platform, follow these steps:

1. Contact your Solution Consultant to obtain a license for the APIs that meet your needs.
2. Add Open Integration Platform to your Software News Profile so that you will receive communications about product issues or changes. For details, refer to the article How do I subscribe to CCH Software News or change my profile for it?
3. Wait for the automated email from CCH Axcess with the subject "CCH Axcess Open Integration Platform Order Acknowledgement".  
4. Read the CCH Axcess Developer Portal Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), log in to the Developer Portal, and complete the API key migration.
5. Follow the steps in How do I use the Try it button in the CCH Axcess Developer Portal? to run your first API test. Get Firm Defaults is a simple place to start for any product, even before your firm's data migration from other software.
6. Install CCH Axcess Install and Update Manager as described in How do I install CCH Axcess™ Install and Update Manager?
7. Install the latest SDK as described in How do I install Open Integration Kit (OIK)?
8. Insert your subscription key into the code samples, compile, and use the mock applications to learn how each API functions.
9. Not all subscriptions will show on the subscription key screen.  (Efile,etc.) Please attempt to access these APIs to ensure lisencing is correct.
