How to amend a Form 706 Estate Tax Return using interview forms?
To retain the originally filed return, make a second version to amend.
- Click File > Save As.
- Input description of second version.
- Click OK.
- Open Interview form EST-5 - Options, Gift Tax Returns Filed and Allowable Deductions.
- In box 32 - X to print "Supplemental Information" at top of page 1 input an X.
- Input changes in applicable interview forms.
- Calculate return.
