How do I reset the Admin password for TaxWise®?

​The video below explains how to reset the Admin password in TaxWise® 2017 and newer.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Yes on the Admin account has been locked window.
    • Click File Reset Admin Password.
  2. Complete the requested fields in the Admin Password Reset window:
    1. Enter your [client id] in the Client ID box.
    2. Enter your [EFIN] in the EFIN box.
    3. Enter your [registration code] and then press Tab in the Registration Code box.
  3. Click Reset Admin Password.
  4. Click OK on the confirmation window.
  5. Click Login on the Login window.
  6. Click OK on the Create a NEW Admin password to get started window.
  7. Enter a new password on the Modify User window.
  8. Click OK
  9. Click OK on the Security Manager window.
  10. Log into TaxWise with the new Admin password.


How to access the Password Center in the TaxWise Solutions Center?

  1. Please go to the TaxWise Solutions Center (You do not need to log in to access the Password Center)
  2. You will see detailed instructions on how to reset the password of the TaxWise Solutions Center, TaxWise Desktop, and TaxWise Online, these instructions include videos.
