How do I keep a new entity or property from being created in CCH ProSystem fx Tax after Dynalinking the Trial Balance?
In CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager the Rental, Farm or Sch C properties are grouped into different grouping structures to separate them when exported to Tax. These groups can be managed be following the guidance in the following article:
If you have already imported into a tax return and there was a new entity created as the entity numbers in the existing return did not line up with the organization structure of the CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager entity numbers, you can perform the following steps to fix the imported entity numbers.
- Regroup the accounts to the correct properties in Engagement (copy/paste can be used within the Account Grouping Dialog).
- Delete the entities in the Tax return.
- Re-import so the Dynalink will recreate the entities in Tax based on the grouping structure in the grouping list.
