Microsoft® has officially released their Windows 10 operating system as of July 29, 2015. Microsoft will also offer a free Windows 10 upgrade for users running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 on their device.
Wolters Kluwer will continue to test our CCH ProSystem fx and CCH Axcess products against the official Windows 10 release. It is our intent to officially support the new Windows 10 operating system as quickly as we can which will vary by product based on their unique release schedules.
- What is Wolters Kluwer's recommendation regarding Windows 10?
- If possible, wait until we have certified your CCH ProSystem fx and CCH Axcess product or products for use with Windows 10 before upgrading to the new operating system. To see whether your CCH ProSystem fx product(s) is officially supported by Wolters Kluwer at this time, Click Here
- Do your products support the new Edge Browser released with Windows 10?
- While we do not anticipate any significant functional software issues with the new operating system, the Edge browser is completely new and may present unforeseen challenges with some of our software products. Microsoft also allows you to use IE 11 rather than the new Edge browser which is our recommendation at this time.
- Note: Wolters Kluwer follows the Microsoft Lifecycle policy for their line of products so please note the following Microsoft Internet Explorer version announcement which will take effect January 12, 2016. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/microsoft-internet-explorer
- Do you support Windows 10 Home or Education versions?
- No, as with the Windows 7 Home version, we will not support the Home or Education versions of Windows 10.
- Where should I report issues when running on a Windows 10 machine?
- It is our goal to address all functional software issues with our products on new operating systems prior to our software releases. Should you encounter an issue unique to the Windows 10 operating system, please create a support case through the following link https://support.cch.com/ticket/
